An anti-bully awareness sign made popular by a New Iberia 7th grader is continuing to be passed around.
We first met Miracle Latigue in September after a sign reading "Let Love Shine Bright Against Bullying" appeared at her school, Iberia Middle School. Miracle had recently overcome a bully by killing the name-calling and hair pulling with kindness.
Latigue felt inspired to help others overcome bullies, so she partnered with a local company, The Sign Gypsies, to create a visual reminder.
Recently, a barbershop owner, April Norris, hosted a BBQ. She was able to give Miracle more than $800 to continue her journey.
The sign is now being displayed at the Boys and Girls Club in New Iberia.
