DHH confirmed with Evangeline Parish officialsthe parish's second positive case of COVID-19.
Police Jury President Ryan Williams said DHH is following protocol to ensure the individual receives proper treatment and remains in quarantine for at least 14 days.
Williams asked residents to "utilize all sanitary and hygeine methods as noted by DHH and CDC, using social distance, and stay in your homes."
DHH was not releasing any more information on the case due to HIPAA laws.
Evangeline Parish reported its first case on Friday.
