The East Side Water System lifted a boil water advisory for customers in Ville Platte on Thursday, November 21.
A loss in pressure and subsequent boil order affected water system customers on Lamar Road, LaChance Road and 4J Road.
After pressure was restored, sample were collected and tested by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. Those returned negative for coliform bacteria.
The boil advisory, which was put in place as a precaution, has been lifted.
Water is safe for consumption.
