According to Lake Charles Police, officers were dispatched to 218 Lucille St. in response to a welfare concern reported by a family member. Upon their arrival, officers entered the home and discovered two people deceased of apparent gunshot wounds.
After further investigation, the deceased were identified as Mary Jane Casey, 68, and Chad Edwin Reeves, 47.
Both resided at the Lucille St. home.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation and is being investigated as a murder/suicide involving Casey and Reeves.
