UPDATE: According to Lake Charles Police, officers were dispatched to 218 Lucille St. in response to a welfare concern reported by a family member. Upon their arrival, officers entered the home and discovered two people deceased of apparent gunshot wounds.
After further investigation, the deceased were identified as Mary Jane Casey, 68, and Chad Edwin Reeves, 47.
Both resided at the Lucille St. home.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation and is being investigated as a murder/suicide involving Casey and Reeves.

The Lake Charles Police Department is investigating a possible homicide on the 200 block of Lucille St., according to spokesperson Sgt. Larry Moss.
Sgt. Moss said the department responded to a call at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Officers discovered a homicide had occurred at the location.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, but there is no current danger to the public.
