A Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested for Aggravated Battery.
Deputy Richard Booth was arrested by the Iowa Police Department on Thursday around 2 p.m.
He worked as a shift sergeant at the Calcasieu Correctional Center and had been with the department for six years before being terminated by Sheriff Tony Mancuso today, states a release from CPSO.
IPD is investigating the case.
