UPDATE, 1:37 a.m.: Officials have lifted the evacuation at Lucky Deuces Casino and Roady's Truck Stop following last night's vapor leak from a tanker truck.

Officials were called to the scene just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Duson police chief Kip Judice, the tanker contained a small amount of mixture of highly toxic chemicals. The leak forced fire and hazmat officials to evacuate the businesses until they could find the leak and patch it.

Once the leak was stopped and the tanker was repaired, crews check the air quality in the area. The air was deemed safe, allowing the truck stop and the casino to reopen just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

No one was injured during the incident.

KATC's Abby Breidenbach was LIVE at the scene this morning with an update on the cleanup.

Duson Chief of Police Kip Judice is reporting that the Duson Police Department is working a "chemical release" from a tanker truck on 3002 Daulat Road.

Judice said they are unsure of what exactly the chemical is, but stated that it is hazardous.

Police are evacuating Lucky Deuces Casino.

Lafayette Haz-Mat and Duson Fire Department are also responding to the scene.
