A woman has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the death of a two-year-old in Lafayette Parish.
Deputies confirm she is the mother of the child who died.
Sheriff's Deputies were called out to the 6900 block of Cameron Street in Duson at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in reference to a deceased child. The body of a two-year-old was found in a vehicle on Andres Road off of Cameron Street.
27-year-old Natalie Broussard, identified as the child's mother, was booked with negligent homicide. No bond has been set.
Deputies say there are no further details at this time as this case remains under investigation.
