America's Waffle Houses have started an Adopt a Meal program.
Basically, you can purchase a meal for a nurse/police officer/paramedic and the House will make sure they get it.
"Customers can come in and purchase a meal for a first responder," explains Terry Dauphine, area vice president. "What they do is, it's an $8 purchase. At the end of the day, we tally up how many meals that we have, and we'll call a local organization, police department, ambulance, medical provider and donate the meals to them."
Today the Pinhook Road Waffle House had a goal of 15 meals of hashbrown bowls, all-star breakfast and a drink.
If you would like to participate, visit the Waffle House at 2147 W Pinhook Rd, or call (337) 261-1125.
