Lafayette Police have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run Tuesday night on Acadian Hills.
On October 1, 2019 at approximately 8:50 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a hit & run crash in the 100 block of Acadian Hills.
Upon officers arrival they located a bicyclist in the roadway. 19-year-old Kirk Broussard of Lafayette was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, police say the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is unknown.
Anyone with information about the accident is urged to call the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS. An investigation is ongoing.
