Tools for Schools is back on the road again; this week we’re at Carencro Heights Elementary, where Katie Orgeron’s Pre-K class needed a new carpet rolled out.
“We sat the carpet down and rolled the carpet. It’s soffee and it’s nice and we like to sit on it," said student Owen Habetz.
“The carpet is blue and very comfy. It’s, it’s amazing," said student Jasmine Tello. "We’re going to read a book on it. Ms. Katies the coolest teacher ever!”
“We love it, we saw it in our music class. Our music teacher had it and when we sat on it we thought we need this in our room for reading. The kids are going to sit on it and read and it lets us sit in a circle so we can all face each other. I think it’s amazing a lot of teachers can really benefit from this not only teachers but classes. It allows us to have materials in our classes that we wouldn’t normally have and be able to provide more for the kids," said teacher Katie Orgeron.
Tools for Schools is brought to Acadiana's children by the Jim Olivier Family of Companies.
