LAFAYETTE, La. — Teurlings Catholic High School will return to a hybrid learning model beginning Thursday, Oct. 1, after several students test positive for COVID-19.

According to a letter to parents from Principal Michael Boyer, there are currently 33 TCHS students that have been quarantined due to potential exposure to COVID-19.

Boyer writes that beginning Thursday, TCHS will return to the A/B Hybrid Class format beginning with Group A until further notice.

The letter states that many classrooms are compromised by size and cannot meet the six foot social distancing standard of care. Any student seated less than six feet to the right, left and in front of a positive student must be quarantined for 14 days from the time of exposure.
