The teen who was shot during an armed robbery Saturday has been identified as a 17-year-old student at Comeaux High School.
A post on the school's football team Facebook page says he's a member of the team. Sources tell KATC he's also a member of the school's soccer team.
A 14-year-old and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested and booked with attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with the incident, Lafayette Police say.
Police were called to the 100 block of N. Meyers Drive at about 2:30 a.m. They found the victim inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He's in critical condition at a local hospital, police say.
The team posted a message of support, asking for prayers.
