An arrest has been made in a deadly shooting near a Lafayette church.
According to police, 17-year-old D’ivion A. Francis was arrested on September 10 and is facing first degree murder charges in connection to the shooting death of 20-year-old Tiage Montrell Hudson. Hudson was shot multiple times in the 600 block of Edison Street.
Franics was transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for booking.
That shooting happened at around 4:40 p.m on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. At the start of the investigation, police said looking for a white SUV as a potential vehicle of interest.
The investigation remains on-going.
