UPDATE - The southbound lane has reopened following a major crash on I-49 in Carencro.
A truck was traveling southbound on I-49 at exit 4 when it struck a tractor cutting grass in the median, according to a spokesperson for Carencro Police Department.
On person was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.

All lanes are now open on I-49 South LA 726 (Carenco). Congestion is minimal.
