A local fundraiser to support children and families battling pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses is going virtual.
Sky High for Kids will hold their 13th annual Lafayette Banquet virtually on Friday, August 7.
The event kicks off at 7 pm and will be broadcast from Rock 'n' Bowl de Lafayette.
Those interested in registering for this year's event can text '2020LA' to 243-725. Registration is free.
Sky High For Kids says that several fundraising efforts have been put on hold due to COVID-19. The organization says the community's help is needed to reach their annual donation goals.
The virtual event can be viewed on the organization's YouTube page.
The event will feature performances by Grammy Winner Wayne Toups and a live and silent auction.
