A Scott resident has transformed his grandmother's Diet Dr Pepper habit into a new business.
Chris Richard was struck with inspiration five years ago, thinking about the way his grandmother used a paper towel as a makeshift "koozie" for her Diet Dr Peppers.
"I have always aspired to create a product that is unique and a great conversation piece," the father of two says. "To my surprise nothing compact and convenient was on the market. Within the last year I really started to concentrate on making the Hidden Huggy a reality. I am very proud of it, I have shipped them all over the US already and can't wait until that moment I see someone whom I don't know using a Hidden Huggy."
Richard has his product on social media and sells it here. He says his patent is pending, and calls it "the world's first compact, one-size-fits-all-shapes and sizes huggy for your beverage."
The adjustable product fits on glass bottles, plastic bottles, regular cans, cups, and even skinny cans, he says.
Here's a video showing how you use it:
