We may be in the middle of a pandemic, but that doesn't mean we can't celebrate Mardi Gras safely.
Wednesday, One Acadiana did just that. They hosted a Gâteau to Geaux drive-thru king cake event.
The community was invited to pick up a slice of king cake and other Mardi Gras goodies.
The organization partnered with Village Deaux, Beads for Less, and Bubbli Balloons to host the socially distanced celebration.
"We know that Mardi Gras looks a little bit differently this year, and so that we can all just distance safely and prioritize everyone's health, we want to spread the Mardi Gras spirit and happiness by doing a drive-thru king cake," explained One Acadiana's Director of Membership Victoria Alleman.
