LAFAYETTE, La. Lafayette police demonstrated a new capture tool on Thursday.
The BolaWrap 100 shoots an eight-foot Kevlar tether that can entangle a suspect from ten to 25 feet away.
"With a device like this, we will not have to go hands on," said Detective Chief Reggie Thomas. "We will then deploy that as I did earlier. The device is very easy to use. It's a device that I would like to see more of our officers using."
