LAFAYETTE, La. - A new grocery store in downtown Lafayette has officially opened.
Handy Stop Market and Café is located at 444 Jefferson St.
The store will carry products from local farmers and vendors.
"It's important for us to support local whether it's a bike shop, or a restaurant, a local musician or shopping here at handy stop market and cafe, keeping those dollars local we are employing people who live locally and so all that money is circulating here in our local economy," said Bradley Cruice, owner of Handy Stop.
