As it did with so many things, the pandemic delayed the start of classes for students who attend public schools in Lafayette Parish.
Ossun Elementary Principal Kelli Clause gave community leaders and members of the media a tour of the changes she and her team have put into place to both protect and educate her 530 students and 76 staff members.
Multiple temperature checks, an increase in cleaning, and consistent social distancing measures are being put into place. And then, there's the matter of standard equipment for each classroom.
