Lafayette Police are working two shootings that happened in the city since last night.
The first happened at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night in the 300 block of Gladys Avenue.
Officers were called to the area after residents heard gunshots. They found a man in the road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition. Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and have no suspect to identify at this time, a spokeswoman said.
Earlier today, police were called to the 100 block of Harmony Street at about 11 a.m. They found a female juvenile who had been shot. She's in stable condition at a local hospital. The suspect is a male juvenile who fled the scene before police arrived. This investigation also is continuing.
