Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Hall of Famer Louis B. Roth, Jr. has passed away at the age of 89.

A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (at that time the Southwestern Louisiana Institute), Roth had a long career with the university.
Some of the highlights include:
• Running Back for the SLI Football Team from 1950-1955
• Holds University of Louisiana at Lafayette Football Record for Longest Punt Return (95 yards)
• Inducted into the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Hall of Fame in 1976.
• Retired from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly known as USL) as the Director of University College and Continuing Education.
• Former Lafayette Parish Police Juror.
