The team will face off against the Kinder Yellow Jackets on Thursday, October 1 at 7:00 pm. at St. Thomas More's Cougar Stadium. St. Louis lost their campus due to Hurricane Laura and conditions to the team's football field required them to find a new location.
The school says they are is in the process of bringing temporary buildings to the campus & plan to resume face-to-face learning mid-October.
Before the game, St. Louis Catholic School will celebrate Mass on campus for the fist time since the pandemic. A pep rally & “send-off” for the football team will follow.
“This game is symbolic of what it means to be a Saint. With every obstacle life throws our way, Saints continue to rise up & meet the challenge. My hope is that this game provides a sense of normalcy for our students. Now more than ever…it’s a great day to be a Saint!" said Principal Mia Orgeron Touchet.
