A Lafayette Parish grand jury has refused to indict a local woman in connection with an October shooting death.

Travon T. Adams, 22, was found dead in a car on MLK Drive back in October. He had been shot multiple times. Within days, police had booked Bri'ani Doucet, 22, with second-degree murder. She's still in the Lafayette Parish jail, records show.

On Wednesday, the grand jury heard the case against her, but declined to indict her on the charge, records show.
