Lafayette Science Museum celebrating Moon Landing Day

Today, is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11.

In celebration, the Lafayette Science Museum has a full week of events planned leading up to the moon landing day.

On Saturday, Apollo-palooza will be held from 10 am to 6 pm.

It costs five dollars to get in.

"Through most of the day we'll have not only planetarium programs but also have some special Apollo related events throughout the day and we'll end up if the night is clear out at Picard Park from 8:00 to 9:00," said Dave Hostetter, Curator Planetarium Lafayette Science Museum.
