UPDATE: Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department arrested 32-year-old Leah Bob of Lafayette tonight.
She is charged with one count of attempted 2nd degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, and illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
Ms. Bob has been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
According to the preliminary investigation, a domestic disturbance took place at a residence on 12th Street.
One of the parties involved produced a firearm and shots were fired.
Officers were able to take the suspect into custody at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.

Lafayette Police are working a shooting in the 1300 block of 12th Street that happened late Monday evening.
One person was shot and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries according to Cpl. Matt Benoit.
