Police say that on July 8, 2019 at approximately 6:30 pm, Lafayette Police responded to shots fired at the intersection of Cora St. at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

The victim's uncle says his nephew 24-year-old Ronald Taylor Jr. was standing on the sidewalk when he was shot and killed in what he's calling a drive by.

Witnesses say they saw several officers attempting to do CPR on the victim after the shooting.

The family says they believe the person who shot Taylor was driving an orange car, but that is all the information they have as of now.
