LAFAYETTE — For Noam Naquin and his family, juicing freshly picked oranges with grandpa was something they enjoyed doing together. They never thought it would lead to the start of a small family business all operated by their six year old son.

They call it, Kiki's Juice Box.

"We set up a juice stand in our front yard on New Years Day, and it was such a hit that we took it downtown to some friends who were having a breakfast pop up, and now it's a real thing," says Jenee Naquin, Noam's mom and business partner.

The process begins with picking fresh oranges with their grandpa. They then take the fresh fruit back home where Noam begins the juicing process in his kitchen. Jenee, being a brand strategist, makes the labels that they place on the bottles to sell. while dad does the dirty work.

"I have the most important role," Arie Dolegowski, Noam's dad jokes. "I'm the custodial janitor service. I clean up and take all of the oranges out to our compost pile and I also take in the bottles that we get and take the labels off."

The first time Kiki's Juice Box appeared in Downtown Lafayette, they sold almost one hundred bottles of juice for four dollars a piece. But Noam isn't pocketing all of that money. Every cent is donated to a non-profit organization called Right 2 Thrive, which aims to educate children and adults in poverty stricken areas around the world how to use what they have to thrive.

"With Noam's opportunity, he can take that money and give it to other children who were not just born with the same opportunity," says Jenee. "So far, he has made two donations and we're looking forward to donating more after our Valentine's Day pop up."

You can find Noam and Kiki's Juice Box set up in Downtown Lafayette on Valentines Day selling a special drink called a "Bloody Valentine" made out of freshly squeezed blood oranges.
