A grand jury has refused to indict a Lafayette teacher accused of kicking a special education student in the head.
Nicole Landry, 47, was brought before a Lafayette Parish Grand Jury on a charge of felony cruelty to a juvenile. The grand jury declined to indict her on that charge.
She was booked with simple battery when the incident happened. The incident is alleged to have occurred at J. Wallace James Elementary.
