LAFAYETTE, La. - The final suspect wanted in the Cora St. homicide has been arrested.
Michael Washington, 18, of Lafayette, turned himself in to detectives at the Lafayette Police Department. He was transported to the Lafayette Parish Jail for booking on an active warrant for second degree murder.
On July 8, 2019, at 6:30 pm, Lafayette Police responded to a call of shots fired at the intersection of Cora St. at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Upon arrival officers located Ronald Taylor Jr., 24, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Freddie Ivory, 29, was arrested on July 9, 2919, on a charge of second murder for the death of Taylor.
