Evangeline Maid marked its 100th anniversary with a mural dedication.
The bakery commemorated the occasion with a commissioned mural by artist Dirk Guidry. The mural showing the iconic Evangeline Maid brand and iterations of the maid herself.
Evangeline Maid bread celebrated their official 100th year in business on Monday, August 19, 2019.
The company started in 1919 when Jospeh Huval started traveling around Youngsville selling his mom's fresh bread. Read more on the company's beginnings here.
Slices of bread flank the bread packaging along with images of a delivery truck, a scenic bayou and zydeco musician plays.
Those wanting to see the mural can do so at the bakery's location on 720 W Simcoe Street.
