A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle late Wednesday night in Lafayette, police confirm.
The incident occurred at the intersection of the Northwest Evangeline Thruway and Castille Avenue at around 10:30 p.m., Sgt. Wayne Griffin with the Lafayette Police Department said.
No victim information is available at this time, and Sgt. Griffin said the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
The southbound lanes of the Thruway are currently closed.
