Lafayette Police say an arrest has been made in connection with an October 1 fatal hit and run in Lafayette.
Police made the announcement at noon on Friday, October 11.
36-year-old Donald Marcus Tezeno turned himself in to Lafayette Police at 7:00 am and was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a charge of Felony Hit and Run Driving with Death.
The hit and run occurred on Tuesday, October 1 in the 100 block of Acadian Hills Lane. The crash claimed the life of 19-year-old Kirk Broussard of Lafayette.

Broussard was transported to a local hospital where he died.
A photo of the vehicle involved was released on Wednesday.
At the time, police asked for help from the public in identifying the vehicle and the driver.
