Fire officials have given the all-clear at L Leo Judice Elementary after they were called to investigate an alarm.
A spokesperson with the Lafayette Parish School System says around 8:05 a.m. a mechanical issue in an isolated room on campus caused a spark and set off the alarm.
The school was evacuated for about 15 minutes during the investigation.
No injuries were reported and students have returned to class.
