LAKE CHARLES, La. — The wife of a man accused of a double homicide and a kidnapping in Westlake was arrested Wednesday for accessory after the fact to first degree rape and after the fact to molestation of a juvenile.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso indicated during a press conference on Thursday that a second person had been arrested in connection with this case, but he would not elaborate on who they were or what they were charged with.

KATC Investigates was told by a source the person arrested was Broussard’s wife, Tori Lynette Broussard.

Sources tell us Tori Broussard is an investigator for the Calcasieu Parish Public Defender's Office. We contacted the head of the public defender's office Thursday night, who was aware of the arrest, but would not comment on the status of Broussard's employment with the department

KATC Investigates verified with the Calcasieu Parish jail that she was booked Wednesday and has bonded out on one count of accessory after the fact to first degree rape at a $25,000 bond and accessory after the fact to molestation of a juvenile with a $20,000 bond.

We also reached out to Tori Broussard’s attorney, Todd S. Clemons, who gave the following statement:

I can confirm that I have been retained to represent her. I have known her for many years. I believe that she has been falsely accused. She was only arrested and not charged by the District Attorney. It will be my pleasure to zealously defend her.

KATC Investigates has also reached out to the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office who said that they had no comment on the case because it is an active investigation.

Neil Patrick Broussard, 51, was captured Thursday. He's accused of shooting two teens, 18 and 17, to death yesterday, and of kidnapping a 14-year-old girl and stealing a car. The girl was found safe a few hours later. Her mother, who also was shot during the incident, is in critical condition at a hospital.
