NEW ORLEANS — Alvin Kamara rushed for a record six touchdowns as New Orleans downs the Vikings in a Christmas Day shootout, 52-33.
Kamara's six scores tied Ernie Nevers (1929) for the most all-time. It was the most in an NFL game since Clinton Portis rushed for five in 2003. Kamara ran for a career high 155 yards.
Kamara actually scored more points (36) than Minnesota did as a team.
Drew Brees, in his second game back after missing several weeks due to multiple broken ribs, threw for 311 yards, his third 300-yard game of the season. He completed 19 of 26. throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns.
Former LSU star Justin Jefferson caught 6 passes for 85 yards in his return to Louisiana.
New Orleans finishes its season next Sunday at the Carolina Panthers.
