Last week's stormy weather caused major damage to the Welsh Animal Shelter, including the death of two dogs.
The shelter was picked up and thrown into a pond, according to a post on the town's Facebook page. Six dogs were in the shelter at the time; four survived and the City of Jennings is taking care of them, the post says.
"Citizens of Welsh please keep your pets contained with in your yards," the post says.
For now, the town can't accept any drop-offs. The town is working with other shelters for animals that have been picked up.
