A group of students in the UL Lafayette nursing program are helping those in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura.
On Wednesday, September 16, the students distributed essential supplies at the Jennings Police Department. The drive-up donation took place from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and followed social distancing and mask guidelines.
Items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shoes, lotions, canned good, bottled water, snacks, dental floss, and more were handed out to those in need.
Students hoped to distribute the items to about 200 people.
