Multiple law enforcement were on the scene in Jennings where an escapee was believed to have barricaded himself in a home, but after they went in the home the child wasn't there.
State Police, Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's deputies, Jennings Police and state juvenile probation and parole officials went to the house based on a tip that the juvenile was in the home, which belongs to a relative of the escapee. But after some time, they learned he wasn't there.
The barricaded person is the last of seven juveniles who escaped from the Acadiana Center for Youth in November. To read about that, click here and here.
This is a developing story; we'll update as we have more information.
