A Lake Charles man is facing rape charges in Jeff Davis Parish after police say he had inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old.
22-year-old James Gray Morado Jr. of Lake Charles was arrested on August 18 and held in Sulphur City Jail in connection with an investigation into the rape and other charges.
Deputies with the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office say they were called July 28 to investigate a report of a man molesting a teenager at a sleepover on June 28.
They say that Morado Jr. was also wanted by Calcasieu Parish and Sulphur Police on other sex offense charges.
Morado was transferred to the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on Friday, October 2 and was booked on a charge of 3rd degree rape.
Deputies say the charge is in connection with his alleged actions with the 14-year-old victim.
