JENNINGS, La. - The city of Jennings is moving forward with its plans to renovate Marcus Cain Memorial Park.
The park will get a new pavilion and parking lot.
"This is going to give our kids something fun to do whether it is raining or the sun is out," said Jennings Mayor Henry. "Also, this is going to help us attract more family activities like the Down Home Reunion and could help bring in new events to our community."
The mayor says construction on the park should start soon.
The total cost of the project is $324,600
