A Jennings man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Sunday night on Koll Road in Jeff Davis Parish.
State Police say 36-year-old Jerrod R. Blanchard was killed during a crash on May 17 around 9:00 pm on Koll Road near Elton Drive.
An investigation by Troop D revealed that Blanchard was traveling west on Koll Road when, for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway.
Blanchard's vehicle then struck a ditch and rolled several times.
Troopers say Blanchard, who was unrestrained at the time of the crash, was partially ejected from the vehicle.
He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to State Police, impairment is unknown. Toxicology samples were obtained and will be submitted for analysis.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
