Jennings man arrested for theft of a vehicle

First responders receive numerous false alarm calls in Jeff Davis Parish

A Jennings man has been arrested, accused of vehicle theft.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office says that on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, deputies were dispatched to 15147 Highway 102, Jennings, Louisiana, in reference to a vehicle theft.

The complainant told deputies he was working on a construction site and a co-worker notified him that someone drove away in the victim's truck. At around 11:00 am deputies received a phone call alerting them the vehicle was spotted at a residence on Johnson Street, in Jennings.

Jennings Police Department contacted deputies and advised they located the stolen vehicle at a residence on Johnson Street, and had detained a man, identified as 25-year-old Keaton Bertrand.

Bertrand was arrested and booked into the parish jail for theft of a motor vehicle.
