First Baptist Church of Jennings will host a "Park and Pray" prayer service on Sunday, August 16.
The event begins at 6:00 pm and will take place at the three public schools in the city.
The church says that services will only last for 15 minutes, but are meant to help students and teachers as they prepare for their upcoming school year.
A minister will be at each school in the city for services including James Ward Elementary, Jennings Elementary and Jennings High School.
The public is welcomed to attend by parking in the school parking lots and remaining in their own vehicles.
