Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's deputies announced that Elton Drive is closed between Bucklin Road and Tupper Road for the next two days while farmers are pumping water into a field. Deputies are on site to keep traffic out.
Also, they issued a reminder of the continued burn ban in place according to the parish police jury in Jefferson Davis Parish. This includes the ban on fireworks.
