JENNINGS, La. — An Iowa man who was accused of possession of child pornography and arrested on Thursday has been given additional charges.
Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office detectives say they have added criminal charges to Alton Leonard Lowe, 32 of 23927 Newcomer road, Iowa.
The additional charges are indecent behavior with juveniles and carnal knowledge of a juvenile, which occurred in Jeff Davis Parish.
Lowe was originally arrested initially on Thursday, May 14 and is being held in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail on outstanding warrants from St. Landry parish on 40 counts of Child Pornography.
Investigators say the Department of Homeland Security is working with St. Landry Parish authorities on the child porn investigation.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is also assisting Jeff Davis Parish with the additional charges in Jeff Davis.
