First Iota Fall Festival in the books; proceeds will help build the town's first park

The Town of Iota hosted their inaugural Fall Festival today.

Proceeds from the festival will go into giving the town their first park. The festivities last until 11 p.m.

"This event is to really gather the spirit of Iota so that people can understand the true root and the passion of Iota and what they have for their own town and their own people," Adrienne Gatte.

KATC's Katie Lopez is emceeing until 6 p.m.

The event is taking place at the Iota Veterans Memorial Pavilion on Duson Avenue.

The festivities include a kid friendly atmosphere, auctions, food, a jambalaya cook-off, and live bands.

All proceeds will help fund a much needed town park. The town park will be located south of the Iota Volunteer Fire Department.

Admission is $10, and free for people 12 years old or younger.
