Funeral Services were held on Friday, August 7 in Jennings for a Jeff Davis Parish deputy who died from complications related to COVID-19.
Deputy Claude Winston Guillory, 63, became a sheriff's deputy in 2019 and worked in the department's 911 office.
Deputy Guillory had more than 30 years in law enforcement. He retired from the Jennings Police Department and worked for a short time for the Lake Arthur Police Department and Coushatta Tribal Police.
Following the 3:00 pm services at Mathew's Funeral Home, the public is invited to line the streets for a funeral procession. Deputy Guillory will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
The public is encouraged to wave American flags as the procession passes.

- West on First St.
- North on Cary Ave., then immediate West turn onto Clara St.
- Turn North on Hwy. 26 (Elton Dr.), to pass under the American Flag (which will be hung by Jennings Fire Department and Jeff Davis - Electric at the carwash and JDEC parking lot)
- Turn East on Hwy. 90 (Shankland Ave.), continue East on Shankland to N. Cutting Ave.
- Turn North on Hwy. 102 (N. Cutting Ave.)
- Turn East on Hwy. 97 (Roberts Ave.) and continue to Greenwood Cemetery
