The drive-thru Disaster Recovery Center at Lacassine High School in Jeff Davis Parish will remain open through the end of this week.

It will operate from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. through Sunday, September 20.

Any survivor of Hurricane Laura who registered with FEMA and who would like to have documents scanned and entered into their case file can visit the center at Lacassine High School, located at 409 Algonia Ave. in Lacassine.

The center was scheduled to close today, Sept. 15.

The drive-thru operates with strict COVID-19 safety measures in place, including a mask or face shield requirement. Those visiting the center must remain in their vehicles. A specialist wearing a face mask will retrieve documents through the window and return them.

No appointments are necessary.
